Before any strategy, I dig into the business model, sales process, real customer objections, and what worked or didn't in past marketing. I sit with the founder and the sales team — because sales calls are where you hear how real customers actually buy.
I narrow before I broaden. I identify the highest-value audience segment and build positioning that speaks to that buyer — not everyone. Audience strategy is the single highest-leverage decision in marketing, and I treat it that way.
